Aka-chan.
So, let's see. To start this.
I'm pregnant. Apparently six weeks pregnant tomorrow.
Two days ago, on Friday, Kell had taken off of work because we were going to go to Splish Splash for Azalea's birthday - Splish Splash is a giant waterpark.
I was in the shower, in the morning, getting ready and Kell came into the bathroom, too, then came in the shower, the way he does if there is no one home and he is actually home. He wanted to fool around, I didn't because I was in the middle of doing morning things, but he started and before we could actually DO anything... we were both covered in blood.
Be disturbed, yes, because this is graphic for some people. Vaginal bleeding - and a lot - my legs were basically covered and then Kell, who can't handle blood normally, had it on him, too, so he ended up leaving the bathroom and actually passing out in the room because Kell passes out from blood.
I didn't have any cramps or pain or anything and kind of sat there in shock, but then the blood was over and there was no more. I tried to go to the bathroom and the like, waiting for my period to come, but it didn't come.
Ectopic pregnancies run in my family and those are when the fetus attaches itself to the wrong area, usually in the tubes and the egg grows there and it explodes, so when I had lots of bleeding, but no pain and no period, I got a bit worried.
I didn't go to the doctor, though because.. that's how I am. No pain, why should I. Well, that was Friday.
Then yesterday, Kell had to work because he wanted to make some money for the weekend and I stayed in bed for the most part because I still wasn't feeling great from the day before and I did get nauseous a couple of times in the morning, but that's not uncommon, but... I played some Valkyrie Profile throughout the day, Azalea played some Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, Kell got home around 7..
We started watching Pretty Woman at 8 and at about 8:30, I started looking up symptoms of ectopic pregnancies and the bleeding was one of them, as was the severe nausea, so I started to freak out.. and I felt nauseous again and I got up to go to the bathroom, which is just across the hallway from the room and.. I passed out. I fell straight backwards and hit my head and was unconscious for a few moments.. not sure how long, but not too long.
When I woke back up, I went into the room and told Kell that I just passed out and then I collapsed again and Azalea gave me her Dora doll and her blanket. Kell asked his dad to watch Azalea, then we drove off to the emergency room.
Once there, they brought me into the first paramedic first, who asked me normal questions and then they wheeled me into the emergency room / patient curtain bed things and I waited there for a bit.
They sent in the first nurse, who took blood twice and set me up to an EKG and everything else, then onwards to more blood being taken from my left HAND, which was a bit odd, then my blood pressure was extremely low and they kept taking it. Kell sat the bottom of the bed the entire time. The Doctor came and asked me about nausea and the passing out and the like, and then said that they would give me a catscan for my head and an ultrasound to see if the pregnancy was ectopic at all.
After some time passed, I asked my nurse if I could take a pregnancy test since they hadn't given me one yet and she said sure and had me pee in a cup. She came back about 3 minutes later and told me that it was positive, so I am pregnant, but we still had to check to see if it was growing in the right place.
I laid and waited there for about 4 hours or so before the ultrasound lady came, saying they were totally backed up and hence, why she was so slow. She brought me into the emergency room x-ray room and gave me an internal sonogram.. which is a big thing that she made me stick inside myself because it would have been too early on to get a regular sonogram. So she stuck that up inside of me and took her information from the inside. It took a good ten minutes, with her pushing on my stomach and moving that around inside of me, but the point of it is to make sure that the baby is forming in the correct place - sack, yolk and the like, because if she couldn't find it, it could mean that it was growing somewhere wrong, but.. she found it. =o I wasn't allowed to see it because I was in the emergency room, but she said I was about 5 weeks, 6 days along, which would put me at 6 weeks now.
So, yeah, I am pregnant. Not too long after that, they sent me home, but they gave me some medicine for my nausea - but they are suppositories and they are scary and I dislike them a lot, but if they help with my severe nausea, then yay.
Now, this pregnancy should be a lot different... I can actually relax - people already know. The first time, no one knew until after I had her, so I had to hide it the entire time. The first time Kell wasn't involved very much since we didn't really want it under those circumstances and he would never touch my stomach and he didn't come to the delivery because they wouldn't let him - but this time he should be allowed. We can also shop beforehand and be prepared, but.. I never like getting my hopes up, I'm a freak.
What's kind of funny is that I am pretty sure it was on Kell's birthday - June 11th, because I remember we did it that night and I had my period not too long before that and didn't get it again after that, just the severe bleeding in the shower, which was kind of worse, but according to them, it's natural.. or something.
So, yeah. I'm pregnant. I spent Monday being sick all day long since I stopped writing this entry halfway through on Sunday and laid back down and now it's Tuesday, but that's the story for now.
